Close Encounter
Was not planning on doing any photography today, however as I went outside to take the rubbish out to the bin I literally stepped on this guy. Lucky for him he was a fairly big guy and I wasn't too heavy on my feet.

Nice capture of his tongue. We don't have lizards in the wild in Canada, way too cold for them. I think they would make pretty cool subjects. Good light cature on the eye of the second photo and nice angle on the lizard.
ReplyDeleteI like the colours of the second photo, though all three are great! How big was the lizard? I think if I encountered even a small one I would've ran away. He looks rather big this one....
ReplyDeleteForm head to tail he was probably around 30cm. He was pretty fast too cause he had been basking in the sun for a while. He made hissing noises flattend his stomach and poked out his blue tongue everytime I went close.

Nice blue tongue. Amazing colour isn't it.
ReplyDeletegreat shots, I've never seen a lizard with a blue tongue. But rather you than me to meet him on the doorstep!
