Watermelon
Watermelon has been our favourite fruit this summer. Besides the taste I love the colour of it. It is a brilliant and refreshing fruit.

Greenwell Point Pelicans
Yesterday we went down to Nowra to have a fish and chips lunch with Shane and Michelle. After lunch we decided to take a couple of snaps. Here are the results.

Crop from Mum's Garden
I will have to experiment for a while longer with this image but I couldn't resist putting it on here. On Sunday we went to Mum and Dad's place and as usual we came home with some of the crop from their garden. She was particularly proud of the pumpkins and the white eggplant. Can't wait to make a vegetable roast they are going to taste fantastic.

Xmas dinner at Copernicus'
Yesterday we went over to Copernicus' for Xmas dinner. I must say our host was not very hospitable at first but after a while and a bit of coaxing he warmed up to us and even allowed himself to be photographed. As you can see he was still a little dismissive of our presence but I think these two images are not too bad.

A special visitor
Looking after Figaro for the next couple of weeks. What an excellent opportunity to get some more practice shots with the new lens.He is a very handsome cat who loves to nestle in the strangest of spots around the house.

Camera Obscura
camera obscura n. a darkened room with an aperture through which images of outside objects are projected onto a flat surface. [New Latin]
The following video should explain what this phenomenon is all about. Originally on BBC I borrowed it from You tube of course. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did the first time I saw it. The setting for the demonstration is also very exotic of course.

Hmmm....
I feel like I really need to think hard about what I should be writing. Then again I'm sure that not many will ever scrutinise my words.
At the moment this is just an experiment. Hopefully some day it will be something more.
I guess I should say that I am into photography. I like the fact that it allows me to express myself in an artistic manner, however I am not sure that I am much more that an amateur.
By the title you may have already guessed that photography is what this blog will be about.
From time to time I will be uploading my images so please feel free to comment and give feedback.
I think that is all for now. I hope to get into this and have many more posts.
